In N.Y., Brian Lewis notes YES Network's telecast of Nets-Cavaliers on Wednesday "averaged 159,000 total viewers in the New York DMA," making it the net's "most-viewed Brooklyn game in six years (since drawing 179,000 for a Dec. 8, 2014 game vs. the Cavs)" (N.Y. POST, 1/22). Numbers provided by the NBA show Nets-Cavs was the most-watched game in the U.S. on League Pass this season and the "fourth most-viewed globally." Overall, viewers were "up 115% and watch hours were up 227% versus the per-game averages for the season" (Cleveland PLAIN-DEALER, 1/22).

STL SURGE: In St. Louis, Dan Caesar notes the Blues' local TV ratings are "soaring." Out of the first three games of this season broadcast locally on FS Midwest, ratings are "up 34% over FSM’s opening trio of telecasts last year, when the Blues were the reigning Stanley Cup champion for the first time" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 1/22).
