Anderson is the first White Sox player to appear on the video game's coverRBI Baseball

White Sox SS Tim Anderson, perhaps the one MLBer best equipped to “attract needed younger fans to the game,” fittingly “is going to be pictured on the cover of RBI Baseball 21,” according to Scott Gregor of the Chicago DAILY HERALD. Anderson becomes the “first Sox player to ever grace the cover of the video game.” He said, “Everybody in my circle was really pleased with it. I couldn't be more happy and excited about it” (Chicago DAILY HERALD, 1/22). In Chicago, Lamond Pope notes the game is set for release in March, and Anderson “sees the cover as a sign that the progress the team is making isn’t going unnoticed.” Players who have appeared on previous covers include Dodgers RF Mookie Betts and SS Corey Seager, Mets SS Francisco Lindor and Brewers LF Christian Yelich (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 1/22). Also in Chicago, Daryl Van Schouwen notes the cover “stamps Anderson’s status in a class with superstar company” and expands his “credentials as the face of the franchise” (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 1/22).
