Virtual Softball Coaching Added to Famer With The Alliance Fastpitch

Mobile sports coaching app Famer has partnered with The Alliance Fastpitch to deliver exclusive virtual coaching lessons to U.S. softball players. The Alliance consists of more than 700 teams, and 10,000 members, who will now gain free access to hundreds of training videos on Famer.

New content will be uploaded weekly to Famer, with videos on specific game situations, softball skills, leadership and mental toughness. Drills will be led by softball coaches such as Marty Tyson and Mike Stith as well as former USA Softball National Team player Natasha Watley. Famer has previously partnered with the NBPA to add coaching videos from NBA players.

Founded in 2020, The Alliance Fastpitch consists of six regional leagues—the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League, Heart of America Fastpitch League, Northeast Fastpitch League, Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League, Southeastern Fastpitch League and Texas Fastpitch League—and its purpose is to provide a unified infrastructure to elite youth fastpitch softball leagues.

“There is a need at the youth level to have a centralized location for continued learning, sharing of best practices, mentorship, and certified training. Famer enables us to bring together our best resources, including our cohesive network of the best minds in the game, and share those amongst our members in an innovative manner,” Jami Lobpries, executive director of The Alliance Fastpitch, said in a statement.
