Chiefs Backup Inspires BreakingT's "Hennething Is Possible" Shirts

Some of the proceeds from shirt sales will go to Patrick Mahomes' charity, 15 and the MahomiesBREAKINGT

T-shirts branded around Chiefs QB Chad Henne were made "available Sunday night" to commemorate the journeyman signal-caller's "clutch third-down run and fourth-down pass" that sealed the Chiefs' Divisional playoff win over the Browns, according to Pete Grathoff of the K.C. STAR. After those plays, injured Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes tweeted: “#HenneThingIsPossible," which became an "inspiration for BreakingT," the DC-based company making the shirts. BreakingT Dir of Marketing Dom Bonvissuto in an e-mail said the brand "worked with Henne’s agent and got the blessing of Mahomes as well, with a portion of proceeds heading" to the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation. Grathoff notes Henne is "doing his part to publicize the shirts, sharing it on his social media platform: LinkedIn" (K.C. STAR, 1/20). Mahomes "gave the apparel a boost" on Twitter, "sharing the new shirts, sweatshirts and mugs with his 1.6 million followers" (CBSSPORTS.com, 1/19).
