The NFL scouting combine will not be held in-person this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, player workouts will take place during individual pro days on college campuses, with video of those workouts being sent to NFL teams for evaluation.
The NFL combine is normally a weeklong event held in February at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for college prospects to be evaluated before the NFL draft. In a memo sent yesterday to NFL teams, the league said it plans to work with colleges to ensure consistency across pro day drills, and that rules regarding team personnel attending pro days in-person will be determined at a later date.
All team interviews with prospects and psychological assessments will be conducted virtually. Athletes will also have physicals conducted at medical facilities near their personal residences.
