AC Milan Will Launch Socios Fan Token

Italian soccer club AC Milan has become the latest sports team to launch its own fan token in partnership with fan rewards app, Socios. The Serie A club will soon launch its $ACM token to be sold on cryptocurrency marketplaces.

Owners of fan tokens can log in to the Socios app to vote in polls hosted by AC Milan and become eligible to win other VIP fan experiences. Clubs such as FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus have launched their own tokens with Socios, which is owned by Malta-based cryptocurrency exchange Chiliz.

The company has sold more than 14 million fan tokens worldwide and says it has generated $30 million for its partnered sports teams over the past 12 months. Socios also has partnerships with the UFC and Professional Fighters League.
