Binge Watching With Rocket Mortgage's Casey Hurbis

Hurbis during the pandemic has done a deep dive into HBO and HBO Max's content libraryROCKET MORTGAGE

With its Super Bowl Squares sweepstakes underway, THE DAILY caught up with Rocket Mortgage CMO CASEY HURBIS to break down what's on his watchlist. Some responses have been edited for clarity and brevity.

  • I enjoy super-crazy content like "MURDER ON MIDDLE BEACH." A lot of murder mysteries have been lost over time, and I love being able to dive back into them. This insane story occurred 20 years ago, and I didn’t know about it then. To see it revisited in present day through a documentary and not fiction is fascinating.
  • "HEAVEN'S GATE: THE CULT OF CULTS" is something I remember seeing news coverage of in the late '90s. I don’t want to spoil the end for those who don’t know, but it is insane to think that something like this could have happened in our country. This series offers the full 20-year backstory of how the final days came to be.
  • To lighten the mood, I've watched every episode of "EASTBOUND & DOWN" twice since quarantine began. It is hilarious and proves to be a great relief after work. KENNY POWERS is the ultimate sports character, who shows that some people don’t know when to quit.
  • Part 2 of "TIGER" is set to air Sunday. TIGER WOODS is truly an iconic man, golfer and personality, so I love consuming anything around who he is and how his brain works. To be able to understand his story and legacy through another lens always is interesting.
  • Remember what an event each live episode of "THE SOPRANOS" was? It's a cool experience to revisit some of those major shows from our past, seeing which parts I remember and which I don’t. Plus, it really is nostalgic for me. I continue to be surprised at how a show from 15-20 years ago can still hold so much relevancy.
