Lightning Sign Dex Imaging, Tampa General Hospital As Helmet Sponsors

TGH will sponsor Lightning's away and practice helmets, with Dex Imaging on home helmetsLIGHTNING

Dex Imaging and Tampa General Hospital have signed deals with the Lightning to be the team's "first-ever helmet sponsors," according to Ashley Gurbal Kritzer of the TAMPA BAY BUSINESS JOURNAL. TGH will sponsor the team's white away and practice helmets while Dex Imaging "will be worn on home uniform helmets." Both TGH and Dex Imaging were "already team sponsors" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/12). Other teams have been signing helmet sponsors, including:

  • A source said that the Flyers' helmet sponsor "will be Tata Consultancy Services." The source said that TCS, an international IT consulting firm, was "attracted to the domestic and international element of the partnership." The helmets will have TCS on them and no slogan (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 1/13).
  • The Penguins last week announced PPG's logo would be displayed on players' helmets for all regular-season and playoff games, and yesterday, the team said that sponsor UPMC "will have its logo on the Penguins' helmets for practices this season" (TRIBLIVE.com, 1/12).
  • The Blackhawks this morning made United Airlines the sponsor for their home and away helmets (Blackhawks).
