Steelers Sign One-Year Naming-Rights Extension With Heinz

The Steelers and the Kraft Heinz Co. have announced a one-year extension of the naming-rights deal at the team’s stadium, as the original 20-year agreement “was to expire at the conclusion of this football season,” according to Chris Adamski of the PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW. Financial terms were not disclosed. Heinz and Kraft merged in ‘15, leading in part to speculation that the company “would walk away from the stadium naming rights when the contract expired in 2021” (TRIBLIVE.com, 1/6).
