NBC Sports Philadelphia's Chris Therien, who has been a "popular pregame and postgame analyst for Flyers games" on the RSN in recent years, "will not be returning this season," according to Sam Carchidi of the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER. Therien, who played 11 seasons for the Flyers, has been a part of the team's media ensemble, whether as a "member of the radio/broadcast or analyst crew," since the '06-07 season. A spokesperson for the RSN said the Flyers' new pre- and postgame lineup was "still being finalized." They added that studio analyst Al Morganti is "expected to return to his role." Carchidi noted Therien "never shied away from being critical of the team on the radio." He later served as the "inside the glass" reporter for the RSN "before moving to his role as an analyst for the 2018-19 season." He indicated that a "hockey podcast might be part" of his future (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 12/22).
