Binge Watching With NBC Sports' Elyse Noonan

Noonan finds herself ready to take up chess after watching "The Queen's Gambit" on NetflixPAUL DRINKWATER/NBC

This week, THE DAILY caught up with NBC Sports VP/Talent Development & Negotiations ELYSE NOONAN to break down what's on her watchlist. Some responses have been edited for clarity and brevity.

  • I’m a sucker for organization, so I had to watch "GET ORGANIZED WITH THE HOME EDIT." It's about home organization, but with a mix of real-life and celebrity clients. The two women, JOANNA and CLEA, are passionate about what they do. Plus, you’ll end up trying to reorganize your entire home in one weekend like I did!
  • I want to re-watch my all-time favorite series, "THE WIRE," because my husband hasn’t watched it, and I’m excited to binge it again with someone who hasn’t seen it. The casting is insanely good and you get invested in each character. But before “The Wire,” I’m going to sneak in "SAVED BY THE BELL."
  • "EMILY IN PARIS" was a break from reality. LILY COLLINS plays a young Midwestern woman transferred to Paris to bring fresh perspective to a French marketing firm. EMILY seemingly wins over everyone except the person she wants to impress most: her boss. The city scenes are gorgeous. It got me excited to go back and visit Paris when the pandemic is over.
  • I recently sped through "THE QUEEN'S GAMBIT," which is about an orphaned girl who discovers chess and becomes a prodigy. Set in the '50s, the main character, BETH HARMON, struggles with addiction as she attempts to become the greatest chess player in the world.
  • I actually found myself up and pacing around my family room while watching "OZARK," which I started binging at the beginning of the pandemic at the recommendation of a colleague. And, with such a star-studded female cast in "BIG LITTLE LIES," you almost feel spoiled watching.
