UK-based production company Marv is "set to make its first TV series with 'DAY 1’S,' a ten-episode series set in the world of soccer." The show "comes from 'ENTOURAGE' creator and director DOUG ELLIN and CHRIS CASE." French soccer star THIERRY HENRY will "appear in the series as himself and will also executive produce alongside his long-term agent DARREN DEIN" (DEADLINE.com, 12/1)....Three-time U.S. Olympian ALLISON BAVER is "expanding her footprint in the world of entertainment" with a "burgeoning production company, Allison Baver Entertainment." ABE is producing "EPIC COMEBACKS," a docuseries that "showcases true stories of inspirational athletes who have defied odds to become a success." The series will "lead with Baver’s story, as she mounted an unexpected comeback after breaking her leg" in '09 to win a Bronze medal in short-track speed skating at the '10 Vancouver Games (VARIETY.com, 12/1).

NAMES: Blue Jays play-by-play commentator DAN SHULMAN has been named the winner of the Canadian Baseball HOF and Museum’s '20 Jack Graney Award, presented annually to a "member of the media who has made significant contributions to baseball in Canada" (CP, 12/1)....Rams players and coaches have "contributed $750,000 to 25 Southern California nonprofits focused on social justice." Rams DT SEBASTIAN JOSEPH-DAY said that the "aim was to 'make impactful change in the L.A. community' with the hope that other teams in the NFL and other pro sports would do the same" (L.A. TIMES, 12/1)....TIM TEBOW, Jaguars LB MYLES JACK and former NFLer REGGIE HAYWARD are "among the additions to the ownership group" of the ECHL Jacksonville Icemen (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 12/2).

LEGAL MATTER: A change of plea hearing for White Sox manager TONY LA RUSSA’s DUI case has been "scheduled for Dec. 21." A Maricopa County Justice Courts spokesperson said, "The case should be fully adjudicated at that time with a plea of guilty to the charge(s)." La Russa was charged with driving under the influence after a February arrest in Arizona (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 12/2).
