Tiki Barber’s Thuzio Buys Robin to Boost Virtual Events

Events organizer Thuzio has acquired Robin, a Toronto-based corporate entertainment platform for buying tickets to premium events and experiences. The acquisition will see Robin be integrated into Thuzio’s live and virtual event offerings.

New York-based Thuzio produces events for clients across sports, entertainment and business. Thuzio was founded in 2012 by former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber along with entrepreneurs Mark Gerson and Jared Augustine. After starting out in live events, Thuzio pivoted to hosting virtual events at the onset of the pandemic.

“Due to the explosive demand of the virtual event business we launched in the wake of the pandemic, Thuzio’s has doubled in size in 2020,” Augustine said. “To accelerate this growth, we’re excited to invest in our tech capabilities through this strategic acquisition of Robin.
