FIFA Chief of Global Football Development ARSENE WENGER has released an "engrossing, surprisingly poignant and often exasperatingly buttoned-up autobiography," entitled "WENGER: MY LIFE AND LESSONS IN RED AND WHITE." Anyone expecting Wenger to "suddenly open up his puffy coat and reveal the secrets he has long kept to himself has come to the wrong memoir." Part "valedictory lap, part future TED Talk and part apologia to his family and friends," the autobiography is a "testament to the 71-year-old Frenchman's unwavering principles and mind-boggling longevity" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 11/21).

NAMES: A source said that Dodgers RF MOOKIE BETTS "recently dropped" $7.6M on an Encino, Calif., mansion "owned by UCLA football coach CHIP KELLY." Betts will have a "bit of a commute to work, as the property is about 20 miles from Dodger Stadium." The house "spans about 9,300 square feet on a long, thin lot" (L.A. TIMES, 11/21)....Orioles 1B CHRIS DAVIS and his wife, JILL, gifted $1M to Compassion International's "'Fill the Stadium' initiative." Their gift "will support 2,000 families, as every $500 provides a year's worth of food, hygiene products and COVID-19 medical screenings to a child and his or her family" (BALTIMORE SUN, 11/22).
