Excel, CAA Lead First Round Picks On Unique NBA Draft Night

The first round of the '20 NBA Draft saw Excel Sports Management and CAA tie for most picks with five. Excel snagged two top 10 overall picks, including No. 2 James Wiseman (Warriors) and No. 6 Onyeka Okongwu (Hawks), while CAA grabbed one with No. 8 Obi Toppin (Knicks). Last year, CAA and Wasserman had the most picks in the first round with four. Klutch Sports Group's Omar Wilkes represented No. 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards (T'Wolves). Roc Nation came away with four picks, including the No. 3 overall LaMelo Ball (Hornets). Wasserman got three picks in the first round and marked its second consecutive year of having a client picked in the top-five -- No. 4 overall Patrick Williams (Bulls). Last night marked the fifth time in the last decade -- and the second consecutive year -- CAA has tied or led in the first round.
