Source: Broncos Allowing 5,700 Fans On Sunday As Cases Spike Statewide

The Broncos "will still allow 5,700 fans into Sundays game against the Dolphins at Empower Field" despite a "record spike in coronavirus around Colorado," according to a source cited by Kyle Newman of the DENVER POST. Denver and the surrounding metro counties on Tuesday moved to "Level Red, the second-highest level of restriction on Colorado's coronavirus dial." But a source said that the change, and the rise in cases and hospitalizations statewide, "hasn't affected the Broncos' attendance capability." A source added that the Broncos' current attendance rules and safety measures "fall in line with the Level Red mandates." An attendance of 5,700 fans is "about 7.5% of the stadium's capacity." The Broncos "have been in constant communication on attendance at Empower Field" with Colorado Gov. Jared Polis' office. A source said that Polis' office "has approved of the club's efforts to limit co-mingling at games" (DENVER POST, 11/19).
