CBS during this year’s coverage of The Masters “plans to experiment with camera angles it wouldn’t have been able to provide” with patrons at Augusta National, according to Wynston Wilcox of the AUGUSTA CHRONICLE. CBS Coordinating Producer for Golf Lance Barrow said the net will “try some shots” before tomorrow’s first round. He added that it will be a “'game-time' decision on whether to send them live.” Barrow indicated that the net is “experimenting with live drones in the practices rounds and could utilize those as well.” CBS will air its traditional weekend coverage beginning at 1:00pm ET on Saturday. The net's final-round coverage begins Sunday at 10:00am “ahead of its national NFL game coverage” at 4:00pm. ESPN again will have early-round coverage beginning at 1:00pm both tomorrow and Friday. It plans to air “special coverage on ESPN+ with Featured Holes and Featured Groups all four days" of the tournament. Also, “SportsCenter” will have “extensive coverage throughout the week” (AUGUSTA CHRONICLE, 11/11).

DUVAL TESTS POSITIVE: Golf Channel analyst David Duval "will miss this week’s Masters after having tested positive for COVID-19." After testing positive on his way to Augusta National, Duval "returned to his home in Denver." The net as of last night "had not announced who, if anyone, would take Duval’s place on air" for The Masters (GOLFWEEK.com, 11/10).
