Entercom Buys Sports Data, iGaming Platform QL Gaming Group

Entercom Communications, "just weeks after announcing a partnership with FanDuel," has "acquired sports data and iGaming affiliate platform QL Gaming Group in an all cash deal" for approximately $32M, according to Jeff Blumenthal of the PHILADELPHIA BUSINESS JOURNAL. QL Gaming Group "operates three consumer facing data and analytics brands." It also "operates AccuScore for simulation-based sports outcome predictions and game forecasting, and TennisInsight.com for comprehensive analytical coverage of the ATP and WTA Tours." Each outlet has its own "respective subscriber bases and licensing opportunities." QL Gaming co-Founder & CEO Justin Park will "continue to lead the business and report directly to Entercom President of Sports Mike Dee and Chief Digital Officer J.D. Crowley." Philadelphia-based Entercom indicated that QL Gaming is "expected to generate approximately $12 million in revenue during the company’s first full year of ownership in 2021" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/9).
