The Washington Football Team hired ANDRE CHAMBERS as its first Chief People Officer, a newly created position that will develop and oversee a human resources division that has been badly understaffed. Chambers comes to the team after three years as VP/People Operations at the A’s. He will report to team President JASON WRIGHT, who called HR a top priority shortly after he was hired. In July, a Washington Post expose on former employees’ allegations of sexual harassment reported that there was just one full-time HR staffer for more than 220 full-time employees at the time (Ben Fischer, THE DAILY).

EXECS: The Clippers named consulting firm Signature Operating Purveyors Founder ALEX DIAZ COO. In his role, Diaz will primarily oversee the operations planning of the Inglewood Basketball and Entertainment Center and additionally provide operational council for the Clippers, Honey Training Center and the L.A. Forum. Meanwhile, the Clippers also promoted the following: VP/Ticket Sales & Service JASON GREEN to Chief Ticket Officer; Dir of Season & Inside Sales JOEL ADAMS to VP/Premium Sales for IBEC; and Dir of Membership Services KRYSTLE HOGAN to VP/Ticket Sales & Service. Adams and Hogan now will report to Green (Clippers)....The ATP named Italy-based Assi Manager co-Founder & Regional Delegate DANIELE SANO Chief Business Officer. Sano, who starts in his new role on Dec. 1, will oversee all commercial partnerships, global sales, marketing, PR and business development operations for the ATP. His previous positions include senior management and advisory roles with top properties in different sports, including Serie A club AS Roma, the Superbike World Championship and WWP Group (ATP)....Sources said that the Pacers named TED WU Assistant GM. He "helps fill the void" left by for Senior VP/Basketball Operations PETER DINWIDDIE, who recently left for the 76ers (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 11/7)....The Univ. of Louisville named Associate AD AMY CALABRESE Senior Woman Administrator and Associate AD to replace the "recently dismissed" CHRISTINE HERRING (Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL, 11/7).
