AMB Sports & Entertainment has hired Hornets Senior VP & Chief Legal Officer JOE PIERCE to become its next general counsel after longtime top lawyer MIKE EGAN retires in December. Egan will stay on part-time as an advisor to the Arthur M. Blank Foundation. A native Atlantan, the former King & Spaulding partner was Falcons Owner ARTHUR BLANK's lead outside counsel on a range of major projects -- including buying the Falcons and Atlanta United, as well as negotiations that led to the development of Mercedes-Benz Stadium -- before coming in-house in '15. He has been at Blank's side for more than 25 years (Ben Fischer, THE DAILY).

EXECS: NASCAR has hired former Turner Sports Exec MATT HONG as a media consultant. Hong, an SBJ "Forty Under 40" honoree in '10, has worked with NASCAR for several months to come up with a plan to help the circuit distribute content to digital platforms (John Ourand, SBJ Media)....The Pro Football HOF Village in Canton named ACE Media CEO SCOTT LANGERMAN Exec VP/Media Business Development and Fullscreen Original Programming Exec OLIVIA STEIER Exec VP/Content Development & Distribution (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/4)....Independent Sports & Entertainment has hired American Cancer Society VP/Strategic Sports Alliances DARYL EVANS to "lead the talent agency's brand consulting business."
