NASCAR driver Chase Briscoe has signed with Chicago-based marketing agency Protential to represent him in finding new sponsors, as he moves to the Cup Series in ‘21. Briscoe has been the top performer in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season, reeling off a series-high nine wins en route to competing for a championship at Phoenix Raceway this weekend. As a result, Stewart-Haas Racing co-Owner Tony Stewart has elevated Briscoe to the team’s No. 14 Ford next year to replace the retiring Clint Bowyer, who is heading to the Fox Sports broadcast booth. Protential does other work in motorsports including being an agency of record for Smithfield Foods, a major SHR sponsor, plus Snap-on Tools. Briscoe is currently aligned with New Jersey-based tech infrastructure company HighPoint but is looking for other sponsors and potential endorsements. Briscoe in a statement said, “I am truly excited to engage Protential to partner with enterprises who can join me next year and years following in the NASCAR Cup Series. I hope to bring an honest and open approach to representing companies who want to take advantage of the incredible access and power of NASCAR Cup racing.” Briscoe’s agent for contract work will continue to be Clark & Associates’ Jeff Clark.
