Cardinals, Lions See Increase In Number Of Fans Allowed At Games

Only 1,200 fans were allowed at last week's Seahawks-Cardinals game at State Farm Stadium in GlendaleGETTY IMAGES

The Arizona Department of Health Services will allow up to 4,200 fans at each of the Cardinals' next two home games after just 1,200 fans were allowed in State Farm Stadium last Sunday, according to Bob McManaman of the ARIZONA REPUBLIC. Seats from the limited allotment for both the Nov. 8 game against the Dolphins and Nov. 15 game against the Bills "will be made exclusively" available to season-ticket members "based on account seniority and those who did not purchase tickets for this past Sunday night's game against the Seahawks." Seats "will only be sold in quantities of two and assigned in adherence with all local and state COVID-19 guidelines." The 4,200 tickets "will be allocated in pods of two and be assigned on the east and west sidelines as well as the north end zone" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 10/30).

OPEN FOR BUSINESS: In Detroit, Dave Birkett reports the Lions "will host a limited number of fans at Ford Field this Sunday for the first time this season." The team on Thursday said that 500 friends and family members "will attend Sunday's game" against the Colts. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer "changed her order to allow crowds of up to 500 people earlier this month, and though that order was eventually struck down by the Michigan Supreme Court, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issued similar guidelines that remain in effect" (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 10/30).
