NHL to Promote Responsible Betting With American Gaming Association

The NHL has partnered with the American Gaming Association to promote responsible sports gambling. The league holds official sports betting sponsorships with bookmakers such as FanDuel, BetMGM, and William Hill.

The NHL will market the AGA’s Have A Game Plan—Bet Responsibly initiative through public announcements and videos both in arenas and on the league’s digital platforms. The NHL joins NASCAR as the only two professional sports leagues to promote the campaign.

The Have A Game Plan campaign’s website features resources such as a map of legal sportsbooks and how to get help if gambling becomes a problem. In 2018, the AGA commissioned a report that projected the NHL would profit $216 million in annual revenue from legalized sports betting.
