Fox' Curt Menefee Pursuing Master's Degree At Northwestern

Menefee has no plans to give up sports broadcasting after he gets his master’s degree in public policyFOX SPORTS

Fox' Curt Menefee is a "first-year graduate student" at Northwestern Univ., with "plans to receive a master’s in Public Policy and Administration" by '22, according to Richard Deitsch of THE ATHLETIC. Menefee: "My plan is to do fall and winter quarters online because I have to be in Los Angeles for the studio show. For spring and summer I want to take a heavier load, and my hope is to be in Chicago and do something on-campus." Menefee added that it "will take at least two years to complete his studies because he needs to take a lighter course load during football season," and he has "no plans to give up his sports broadcasting career upon getting his master’s." Menefee: "I see a way I can do both. I hope to be host of Fox NFL Sunday if Fox continues to have NFL football until the day I retire." On taking public policy stances, Menefee said, "There is a line that I have to walk as far as politics. To me, social justice is different than politics. But I think there is a line and particularly now, I think once you align yourself with one party or another, then that turns off a lot of people. I have a responsibility being the host of Fox NFL Sunday to myself as the host, to the guys I work with, and to Fox in general, to not become that guy who is labeled as left wing, right wing, whatever" (THEATHLETIC.com, 10/26).
