The Cavaliers and iHeart Media announced a "new multiyear, multi-team agreement" that begins with the '20-21 season and includes the AHL Cleveland Monsters and the NBA G League Canton Charge, according to Kevin Kleps of CRAIN'S CLEVELAND BUSINESS. WTAM-AM, WTAM-FM and WMMS-FM "will remain the flagship stations of the Cavs." WTAM-AM "has been a flagship home of the Cavs" since '90-91. The new deal "includes a new home for the Monsters" -- WARF-AM -- and "means Charge games will continue to air" on WHOF-FM. The stations "will broadcast each team's preseason, regular season and playoff games, as well as provide pre- and postgame programming." Tim Alcorn "will return for his second season as the radio voice of the Cavs," joined by Jim Chones, "back for his 11th season as a Cavs radio analyst." Mike Snyder, entering his 29th year on the broadcasts, "will continue to anchor the pregame, halftime and postgame shows, and Brad Sellers will return for his 11th season as a Cavs postgame analyst." Meanwhile, with the new radio deal "wrapped up, the Cavs can turn more of their attention to a rights agreement" with FS Ohio. Sources said that the agreement is "set to expire" after the '20-21 season. The current deal is worth $35-38M annually (CRAINSCLEVELAND.com, 10/20).
