AD AGE's Jessica Wohl reported Avocados From Mexico "plans to sit out the Super Bowl" in '21 after a "six year run in the Big Game with commercials featuring humor and celebrities." The organization's departure marks the "first confirmation from a prior Super Bowl advertiser that it doesn't plan to buy ad time" in Super Bowl LV. Avocados From Mexico still is "expected to do some advertising timed to the Super Bowl" (ADAGE.com, 10/19). 

PENT UP DEMAND: In L.A., Hans Gutknecht notes the team store at Dodger Stadium is "doing its best to keep up with the fans' demand." Pre-orders of World Series merchandise were taken yesterday, and merchandise was "expected to be available in the store" today. Jerseys for RF Mookie Betts with a postseason patch "have been the big-ticket item at the store, and hats with the postseason logo are selling briskly as well" (L.A. DAILY NEW, 10/20).

NEW NAME: Union Home Mortgage is the new title sponsor for the Gasparilla Bowl, an annual college football postseason game played at Raymond James Stadium. Beginning with this year's game, the bowl will now be known as the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl. The multiyear title sponsorship with Union Home Mortgage was brokered by Denver-based Impression Sports & Entertainment. Previous title sponsors for the game included Bad Boy Mowers, Bitcoin, Beef 'O' Brady's and magicJack (Gasparilla Bowl).
