MLB Forms New Scouting Series Powered by Driveline

Because many athletes have had their seasons disrupted by the pandemic, Major League Baseball has decided to partner with Driveline Baseball to host a new scouting series for high school and college-aged draft prospects.

Scouts from all 30 MLB clubs can attend the showcases, while Driveline will collect video and data to share with clubs. The first showcase was held Saturday in San Bernardino, Calif. Four more events will occur this month in Clearwater, Fla.; Rome, Ga.; Round Rock, Texas; and Tacoma, Wash.

All pitchers participating in showcase games will have their performance data tracked by Rapsodo and Track Man. Hitters will be evaluated with tech such as Blast Motion, K-Vest and Rapsodo.
