Game 5 of the NBA Finals will tip off tonight at 9 p.m. ET in Orlando, with the Los Angeles Lakers holding a 3-1 series lead over the Miami Heat. A win would give the Lakers their 17th NBA championship, tying them with the Boston Celtics for most by an NBA franchise.

Without fans in the bubble, the NBA has partnered with Microsoft Teams to project livestreams of fans from their homes onto courtside screens. “It can be a good thing. It reminds me of ‘Black Mirror,’ ” Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert said of the virtual fans in August, according to USA Today. (Douglas P. DeFelice/Getty Images)

Broadcasts during the game showed swaths of fans in the student section not wearing masks. UGA’s protocols require fans to wear masks when entering the stadium but not at their seats. UGA said that 20,524 fans attended Saturday’s game, the max given the venue’s coronavirus capacity restrictions. (Todd Kirkland/Getty Images)

Georgia native Mariah Stackhouse watched a shot during Thursday’s first round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Penn. The 26-year-old Stanford grad is the only Black full-time player on the LPGA Tour.

“I think at the younger level, I can say for sure that [golf’s] becoming more diverse and I can see it through social media and the parents that reach out to me. There are a lot of young Black boys and girls playing right now,” Stackhouse told ESPN in a recent interview.
