Packers Ban Cash Transactions At Lambeau Field, Titletown District

The Packers said that Lambeau Field and businesses located in the Titletown District "no longer will accept cash," according to Richard Ryman of the GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE. The team yesterday said that it was planning a gradual transition but "decided to speed it up because of the COVID-19 virus, which is spreading especially fast in the Green Bay area." The Packers said that cashless transactions "will be faster, result in shorter lines and require less contact between guests and staff." Free cash-to-card conversion stations "are available." The cards "can be used at businesses that accept Mastercard as well as at Lambeau Field." If the Packers allow fans at games later this year -- there will be none at least through the Nov. 1 game against the Vikings -- "parking lots will remain cash only" (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 10/8).
