Coyotes Unveil 25th Anniversary Logos, Jersey Patches For '21 Season

The '21 NHL season will be the Coyotes' 25th in Phoenix, and the club yesterday unveiled logos that "harken back to the early years of the team in Arizona, with the crescent moon shoulder patch from the Kachina-patterned original uniforms to be featured at mid-ice at Gila River Arena," according to Jose Romero of the ARIZONA REPUBLIC. Players also will wear "uniform patches bearing the number 25 outlined in silver for their silver anniversary on home and away jerseys." The Kachina jersey from the inaugural '96-97 season, which has "seen a surge in popularity with fans in recent years, will be the most worn home jersey next season, to be used for 25 games." The team "will continue to wear the main red and white jerseys for home and away games." Coyotes President & CEO Xavier Gutierrez said that the 25th anniversary celebration "will stretch into the 2021-2022 season." Gutierrez: "Obviously this season is being pushed back, and we want to make sure that if for whatever reason fans cannot be in the arena, we want to be true to celebrating our 25th year. But we want to obviously celebrate it with our community of fans. So we're also going to look to celebrate it the year after as well" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 10/7).
