Amazon Opens Early Access For Luna Cloud Gaming Service

Amazon has unveiled new details for Luna, its cloud-based video game streaming service. The $5.99 per month service will be available for Fire TV, PC and Mac—as well as apps for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Luna will compete with other cloud gaming services such as Microsoft’s xCloud and Google Stadia.

While Amazon has not yet said when Luna will launch, the tech giant’s website has begun accepting early access requests from U.S. customers. The AWS-powered Luna will cross integrate with Amazon’s Twitch streaming platform.

“Inside the Luna experience, players will see Twitch streams for games in the service, and from Twitch, they’ll be able to instantly start playing Luna games,” reads a press release from Amazon.

Confirmed video games coming to Luna include Resident Evil 7, Assassins Creed Valhalla, and Far Cry 6. Video game publisher Ubisoft has partnered with Amazon to have its own channel on Luna.
