Raiders Outline Designated Drive-In Tailgate Zone Packages For Fans

Raiders fans can pay between $400-500 for the tailgate packagesGETTY IMAGES

The Raiders sent an email to season-ticket holders "advertising the Tailgate Zone at Allegiant Stadium, where fans in vehicles with five or fewer occupants can park in a stadium lot and watch the team's game Sunday" against the Patriots, according to Mick Akers of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL. Per the email sent yesterday, fans "will watch the action on a large LED screen and a stage will be constructed where Raiders special appearances and performances are planned." Akers notes options range from $400 for the Tailgate Ticket package to $500 for the VIP package, with both including food and beverage packages. Tailgating is "not allowed in other areas within or around the stadium." Hundreds of fans on Monday "held their own tailgate party at Allegiant Stadium" for the team's win against the Saints. Crowds "mainly congregated around the north end of the stadium" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 9/23).

VICTORY WITH VIPS: In Las Vegas, John Katsilometes notes Raiders Owner Mark Davis "brought his mother, Carol, to his VIP watch party Monday night" at the team's HQ in Henderson, Nev., but he is "not planning to attend any games at Allegiant Stadium until the venue can be full of Raider Nation fanatics." Davis invited a "select group of dignitaries and supporters to watch" the game. The socially distant invitees "watched from the team's main meeting room." Some of the attendees included UNR President Brian Sandoval, MGM Resorts Int'l President & CEO Bill Hornbuckle, Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority President & CEO Steve Hill, MLB HOFer Reggie Jackson, former NFLer Jim Plunkett, Pro Football HOFer Marcus Allen and Davis' Senior Adviser Marcel Reece. The attendees were all given "Raiders swag bags, which included a commemorative jersey, football, pin, program and plaque" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 9/23).
