A Look At Allegiant Stadium's Interior Ahead Of "MNF" Debut

As much attention as the outside of the Raiders' Allegiant Stadium has received, the inside is "even more spectacular," according to Mick Akers of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, who was given an exclusive tour of the inside of the $2B facility. The stadium is "filled with fun features on every level." A "stylish and spacious" locker room is "lined with black carpet with a silver and white zebra-like pattern." A "massive Raiders shield logo is located in the middle of the room," and a "plastic barrier is between each player’s locker to adhere to COVID-19 protocols." Additionally, a Raiders HOF "lines the about 50-foot-long corridor" leading to the locker room. Along the hallways and concourse of the 200 level, "various works of art hang on the walls paying homage to the team’s history and its new hometown." The "more than 100 pieces of art located in the stadium were created by local Las Vegas artists and former Raiders players." Meanwhile, the 127 suites will "take game day to another level for fans." The "white marble flooring gives the suites an upscale look as soon as you enter the space," so suite guests can be "assured they have the best seats in the house" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 9/19).

READY TO SHOW IT OFF: In Las Vegas, Case Keefer wrote the Raiders "unanimously raved about the opportunity to open Allegiant Stadium in primetime" against the Saints on "MNF." Knowing the "entire football, if not sports, world will be focused on their performance" in their new home "helps make up for some of their disappointment about fans not being allowed" in the 65,000-seat venue. The "magnitude of the moment will have the Raiders showing up hours before kickoff 'juiced.'" Raiders TE Darren Waller said, "Guys are definitely excited to play in our home stadium, I feel like it will lift our energy up." He added, "We know we’re representing Las Vegas in a big way and our energy is going to be through the roof playing at home this year” (LAS VEGAS SUN, 9/20).
