Harris Blitzer Names David Gould As Chief Diversity & Impact Officer

Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which owns the 76ers, Devils and Prudential Center, has named DAVID GOULD as the organization's first Chief Diversity & Impact Officer. Gould, who joined the 76ers in April as Sixers Youth Foundation Exec Dir, begins his new role immediately and will report to HBSE CEO SCOTT O'NEIL. "In the sports and entertainment industry we have an incredibly important role to play in pushing diversity and all types of equality," Gould said. "Diversity is important to HBSE and we want to be leaders in our industry and that we are walking the walk. We are excited about how we can use our resources to have an impact on the community." Prior to joining the 76ers, Gould served as Deputy Dir for Community Engagement & Communications for Philadelphia Mayor JIM KENNEY's Rebuild initiative. Gould’s new job comes after HBSE last month rolled out its $20M racial equity action plan. "We have a $20 million commitment from our managing partners to address racism and my charge is to get that off the ground," he said.
