MLBPA, 2nd Skull Partner to Promote Protective Headgear

The Major League Baseball Players Association has entered into a strategic alliance with 2nd Skull, a company that produces protective headgear for athletes of all ages. MLB Players, Inc., the business and licensing arm of MLBPA, will take an ownership interest in 2nd Skull.

The partnership will enable 2nd Skull to market its gear across MLB Players, Inc.’s promotional channels. 2nd Skull makes protective headbands and head caps that can be worn on their own, under hats or under helmets. In 2017, 2nd Skull won $100,000 in funding from the NFL as part of the league’s HeadHealthTECH Challenge.
