CCM Hockey and Carbon Debut 3D Printed Hockey Helmet

Canadian equipment brand CCM Hockey has partnered with Carbon to create the Super Tacks X with NEST Tech, the first hockey helmet with a 3D printed liner.

The helmet uses Next Evolution Sense Technology (NEST) in the lattice liner, which features more than 130,000 individual struts to help improve absorption and breathability.

The Super Tacks X with NEST Tech is also custom-fit to the athlete’s head, which helps provide better comfort; the lattice will replace traditional foam padding.

It will be featured in the upcoming NHL season and will be available for purchase in the spring of 2021.
