Nice Drive: Porsche Signs Golfer Paul Casey To Endorsement Deal

Porsche is “increasing its involvement in golf” and has signed golfer Paul Casey to an endorsement deal, according to Steve DiMeglio of GOLFWEEK. Casey will appear in a global campaign titled “Make it Happen” that takes a “look back at his childhood, including footage of his first swings with a golf club and of Casey as a young volunteer at the 1991 European Open.” It also will showcase his “rise to becoming one of the best players in the world.” Casey, currently ranked No. 21 in the world, “will have the Porsche logo on his bag for the first time at next week’s U.S. Open.” Casey owns five Porsches, and he said, “I spend a lot of money on Porsches and I will continue to do so. It’s a natural fit. It makes sense. This is a relationship that is not forced.” Coincidentally, Casey’s most recent worldwide win came last September in the Porsche European Open (GOLFWEEK.com, 9/10).
