Elevate Sports Ventures named former Warriors and Marlins exec CHIP BOWERS President. Bowers will be based in Charlotte, where Elevate plans on opening a new HQ. Elevate also announced the promotions of FLAVIL HAMPSTEN to COO and SHAWN DOSS to Exec VP/Sales & Marketing. Bowers spent 25 years working on the team side of the business in the NBA, WNBA, MLB and esports, highlighted by his five-plus years as Warriors CMO (Bret McCormick, Staff Writer).

WRIGHT FOR THE JOB: U.S. Soccer hired DAVID WRIGHT as its new Chief Commercial Officer. Wright has served as MiLB Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer for the past four-plus years. He joined MiLB from MLS and SUM. Wright's departure from MiLB comes amid protracted negotiations between MLB and MiLB over a governing structure, and a day after MiLB President & CEO PAT O'CONNER announced his retirement (Mark J. EXECS: CHUCK MENKE stepped down as USA Triathlon CMO after more than a decade with the organization. He submitted his resignation in June but stayed on to finalize several sponsorship agreements.
