Bubba Wallace Partners With Urban Outfitters To Benefit Foundation

Urban Outfitters is "among the increasing list of companies that have joined forces" with NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, according to Rosemary Feitelberg of WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY. Ahead of the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond Raceway, the brand is "introducing two exclusive Wallace-inspired race T-shirts with a $100,000 donation" to his Live to Be Different Foundation through sales of the shirts. The two limited-run designs "will be sold via Urban Outfitters' site and at select stores." Wallace in recent months has been "speaking out about social injustice," and through the foundation, he "supports disadvantaged individuals and those in need of a second chance with educational, social or socioeconomic situations." Through his work with Urban Outfitters and other brands like Columbia Sportswear, which signed a multiyear sponsorship deal with Wallace and Richard Petty Motorsports, there is the "potential to educate people" on social and racial justice issues (WWD.com, 9/8).
