DWAYNE JOHNSON and his family "tested positive for the coronavirus." Johnson called the ordeal "one of the most challenging and difficult things we’ve ever had to endure." He said that he, his wife LAUREN HASHIAN and two young daughters "contracted the virus, but have now recovered." Johnson added that his daughters "'bounced back' after having sore throats for a couple days," but that he and his wife "both had a 'rough go'" (AP, 9/2). 

NAMES: Actor/director CYLK COZART and marketer/promoter KEITH ZIMMERMAN created "BALL OF CONFUSION," a one-hour documentary about basketball’s history that "leans on basketball’s role in breaking barriers and is subtitled: 'The History of Basketball and its impact for Social Change'" (K.C. STAR, 9/3)....Former N.C. State men’s basketball coach MARK GOTTFRIED is suing the school in federal court, "alleging that the university owes him thousands in buyout payments." Gottfried was fired in '17 after coaching the team for six seasons. Gottfried's lawyer in '19 said that NCSU "still owed Gottfried $520,000 but was trying to use his connection to the Adidas case to pay him less" (Raleigh NEWS & OBSERVER, 9/3).
