ESPN Renews Deal For Little League World Series Through '30

ESPN and Little League have reached an “eight-year contract extension” that will keep the Little League World Series on the network through '30, according to John Beauge of the Harrisburg PATRIOT-NEWS. Financial terms of the deal, which will see the net air around 300 games annually, were not disclosed. Little League Int'l Senior Dir of Communications Brian McClintock indicated that ESPN “had been airing most of those games the past two years although not required under the contract that expires after 2022 that paid Little League approximately $10 million a year” (Harrisburg PATRIOT-NEWS, 8/24). ESPN also will “continue to exclusively televise the annual MLB Little League Classic on ‘Sunday Night Baseball.’” Next year's event featuring Angels-Indians will take place on Aug. 22 (AP, 8/23).
