Longtime Analyst Deion Sanders Leaving NFL Network

Deion Sanders is leaving NFL Network, a TV outlet where he has been an on-air analyst since '06. In a statement emailed to THE DAILY, NFL Network’s Head of Communications Alex Riethmiller said, “Deion has been one of the key figures responsible for the growth of NFL Network. We thank him for his work and wish him the best in the future.” Sanders’ contract with NFL Network had expired. A source said that Sanders had agreed to a new deal, but ended up deciding to leave the network. In recent months, Sanders has talked about the possibility of coaching football. He was an offensive coordinator for his son’s high school for the past three seasons. Earlier this year, he told the "Dan Patrick Show" that he planned to be a college football head coach this fall.
