Iguodala, Dinwiddie Among NBA Players to Invest in Dapper Labs

Blockchain-based game developer Dapper Labs announced a $12 million investment round. Investors include NBA players Andre Iguodala, Spencer Dinwiddie, Garrett Temple, JaVale McGee and Aaron Gordon.

Dapper Labs is the developer behind NBA Top Shot, a platform that allows users to buy and trade tokens representing specific NBA moments and players. Since the app's beta version launched in June, NBA Top Shot has generated $1.2 million in revenue from its first 500 registrants.

Additional investors in Dapper Labs include Samsung, Coinbase Ventures, and Andreessen Horowitz. In February, Dapper Labs announced a licensing agreement with UFC to create UFC-branded digital collectibles.
