Rams' New Scouting Apprenticeship Geared Towards Minority, Women

The Rams created a new scouting apprenticeship "geared toward minority and women candidates" that will "offer participants experiential learning, mentorship and networking opportunities," according to Emmanuel Morgan of the L.A. TIMES. This follows NFL-wide discussions on "increasing diversity in the coaching ranks and front offices." The program will start this month and run through the '21 NFL Draft. The Rams used the league's programming pipeline to "find candidates and conducted virtual interviews in June." Nine members of the team's player personnel department will "serve as the program’s primary advisors." The participants will "work closely with the team to learn and actively contribute in scouting procedures" (L.A.
