Celtics' Grousbeck, Bucks' Edens Keep Friendship Close Amid Rivalry

Celtics Managing Partner & CEO Wyc Grousbeck and Bucks co-Owner Wes Edens are "behind two of the most relevant franchises in the NBA right now," and the pair "will be traveling together to Orlando" to watch Celtics-Bucks Friday night at Disney's HP Field House, according to Nicole Yang of the BOSTON GLOBE. Instead of watching from their "typically courtside seats," Grousbeck and Edens "will be masked and socially distanced in the otherwise empty stands." And although things "will certainly be different than usual, watching games together is nothing new." Grousbeck on his relationship with Edens said, “Oftentimes when we get together, Wes will say, ‘Hey, why don’t we fly on my plane?’ If we win the game, I probably will have to go get a plane ticket.” The two men are "business partners as well," joining a group which includes Grousbeck’s wife, Emilia Fazzalari, Lakers Controlling Owner & CEO Jeanie Buss and Hornets Owner Michael Jordan to form the tequila company Cincoro (BOSTON GLOBE, 7/31).
