Longtime Octagon Exec Andy Bush Joins Eiger Marketing Group

Bush will be counted on to drive new business to the agency and bring an outsider's perspectiveSHOW SPORTS MEDIA

Longtime Octagon exec ANDY BUSH is joining event management and sponsorship agency Eiger Marketing Group as Partner, the company announced. Bush will reunite with former Octagon Senior VP TIM ERENSEN, who founded Eiger in '10 and currently serves as Managing Partner. Bush, who led Octagon's golf and events business from '06-18, plans to leverage his connections in the industry with what he learned during a recent two-year stint in charge of events for DC United to bring a new dimension to the young agency. "What a stadium offers you versus what temporary events and venues offer you is completely different," Bush said. "It was nice to see something different but it’s exciting to get back." For Erensen, it was an "easy decision" to bring Bush on board, owing to the pair’s shared vision and Bush’s events pedigree. Bush will be counted on to drive new business to the agency and to bring an outsider's perspective to Eiger’s existing partnerships with brands like AIG, ShopRite and SERVPRO.

MORE TO COME: Erensen indicated that the addition of Bush comes as part of a larger expansion plan for Eiger, which will take place over the next 12-18 months. Uncertainty brought on by the pandemic has given the agency an opportunity to build its consulting practice, Erensen said, mentioning Eiger's success in helping AIG land a deal last year to title sponsor the Women's Open in Scotland and its work with PGA Tour sponsor SERVPRO. "There's a real opportunity for us to be a valued partner to clients who are trying to navigate their way through the sponsorship landscape in some trying and challenging times," he said.
