Six Sports Talk Radio Stations Will Livestream Video on Twitch

Live video streams of sports talk radio will appear on Twitch for the first time through a new partnership with Radio.com, an Entercom digital audio platform. Six Entercom-owned sports radio stations will now simulcast on Twitch. The platform, owned by Amazon, has 17.5 million daily users.

The six stations include WEEI in Boston, WFAN 101.9 FM/660 AM in New York, 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, 670 The Score in Chicago, 92.9 The Game in Atlanta and 97.1 The Ticket in Detroit. Each of the stations will have its own branded channel on Twitch. Viewers will be able to submit messages via Twitch’s chat feature that could be picked up for on-air talking points.

“This partnership will expand how listeners can connect with our on-air talent through real-time engagement on Twitch and introduce a new generation of sports fans to legendary sports brands like WEEI, WFAN 101.9 FM/660 AM, and 92.9 The Game,” said David Rosenbloom, VP of corporate business development at Entercom, in a press release.

Entercom owns 235 radio stations in the U.S. and plans to use its media portfolio to promote its programming on Twitch. Entercom merged with CBS Radio in 2017.
