Baron Davis Launches $10,000 Online All Rise Dunk Challenge

Retired NBA All-Star Baron Davis has launched a new online dunk competition in which players will compete from their driveways or local courts. The All Rise Dunk Challenge will reward the winner with $5,000, and another $5,000 will be donated to a charity of the winner’s choosing. 

The online contest aims to be a socially distant alternative for athletes during the pandemic, and is being run by Davis’s SLiC Studios. To enter the contest, basketball players around the world can submit dunk videos at DunkSociety.com. Davis and a panel of judges will then pare those down to a list of 32 who will compete in a weekly bracket-style tournament. The competition will broadcast across SLiC’s social media channels as well as at slicsports.com.

“I’m excited about this dunk contest,” Davis said in a press release. “The opportunity to give back and honor those who love the game and also their communities. SLiC always wants to innovate and appreciate those who contribute to our sports culture.”
