FC Cincy's New Stadium Boasts Several City-Inspired Club Areas

FC Cincinnati stadium interior designer Isabelle Ivanov-Rijnties on Monday "provided the first in-depth look at what the fan experience will be" at the venue, revealing the club's "plan for an up-close and high-end fan experience," according to Charlie Goldsmith of the CINCINNATI ENQUIRER. FC Cincinnati President Jeff Berding said, "We wanted fans to have a tremendous experience and know that they were in Cincinnati. Each of the spaces is designed to be specific to Cincinnati. The stadium is for Cincinnati and by Cincinnati." Goldsmith noted "inspired by the design of floor-to-ceiling shelves inside the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County and Cincinnati Music Hall, the Tunnel Club will be FC Cincinnati's most exclusive seating option" and will be "located at field level." Dining will "include a 'chef-driven menu,' a mixologist helping create the drink menu and the opportunity for members to pour their own beer." Before every match, players from FC Cincinnati and the opposing team will "line up in the club as they prepare to walk onto the pitch." Berding said that no stadium in the world "provides this type of proximity to players." Meanwhile, Goldsmith noted the Cincinnatus Club is "rooted in Cincinnati's history and industrial design with copper and brass materials." The 11,000-square-foot club will have "large historical photos of Cincinnati lining the walls and can fit 1,134 members" (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 7/15).
