Installation Of Massive SoFi Stadium Videoboard Complete

Construction of SoFi Stadium is 97% complete, including the installation of the world’s largest videoboard, according to Rams execs. The display is a key center piece of the new home of the Rams and Chargers. The videoboard, which is two-sided, weighs in at 2.2 million pounds and has 70,000 square feet of digital LEDs, is the the first and only 4k end-to-end videoboard in sports. SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park Managing Dir Jason Gannon said the board will be visible to fans in "100% of the seating bowl." The videoboard was brought into SoFi Stadium piece by piece and constructed in the venue. It also will be used to communicate with fans any new COVID-19 related protocols issued by the NFL, Rams Chief Technology Officer Skarpi Hedinsson said. He added that the Rams are already exploring how the board will be used for concerts and other non-sports events.
